I am a healthcare professional and my provider card has recently expired.
Can I take a renewal course?

“A current Healthcare Provider card is required to take a renewal course.  If your card has expired, you will need to take the full course.  The American Heart Association will allow you to take a renewal class anytime during the month your card expires, but there are no grace periods beyond the month of expiration.”

My provider card was lost/stolen.  How do I get a new copy?

“Call or email Berklyn Medical Solutions and request a duplicate card.  The charge for a duplicate card is $10 for all American Heart Association courses.  You must submit payment prior to receiving your duplicate card.”

I may have some special needs, can you accommodate them?

“Not all students learn in the same ways.  We can adjust our teaching method to accommodate your needs.  All of our instructors use the 2005 American Heart Association and American Academy of Pediatrics guidelines.  We pride ourselves on providing relaxed courses that are conducive to learning while having fun.  If you feel that you have any special needs, please call us directly and allow us the opportunity to meet them.”

Do the course fees support the American Heart Association?

“The American Heart Association strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in BLS, ACLS, and PALS and has developed instructional materials for this purpose. Use of these materials in an educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the American Heart Association. Any fees charged for such a course, except for a portion of fees needed for AHA course material, do not represent income to the Association.”
